Most drywall repair is not a big job, it is a fussy one. A doorknob hole, the lag holes left behind when a TV came off the wall, a brown ring on a bedroom ceiling after an ice dam, the torn paper and anchor craters where a wall cabinet used to hang — none of it takes long to board. What takes time is making it disappear.
That is why we quote drywall the way we actually do it: as a two- or three-visit job. Hang and tape, come back and coat, come back and sand and finish. Compound dries on its own schedule, and any price built on the idea that it does not is a price that ends in a callback.

This is the step that matters most on a drywall job. A wide shot of the wall or ceiling and a close-up of the hole tells us the texture, the light, and the paint break — three things no form can capture. Measuring is optional.
